
Spectra of photoelectrons ionized by ultrashort XUV pulses and accelerated by THz radation. The oscillation of the THz-field is visible.
In our research group within CUI and the Institute for Experimental Physics we perform time resolved atomic and molecular physics experiments using ultrashort extreme ultraviolet (XUV) pulses in combination with intense far-infrared (THz) light pulses. The experiments allow us to follow ultrafast dynamics in the picosecond (1 ps = 10-12 s) to femtosecond (1 fs = 10-15 s) range.
